Dr. Carrie Barber brings over 26 years of experience in healthcare including a 19 year career in perinatal health as a certified nurse midwife with roles in academia, and hospital nursing administration.  She owns a national medical legal consulting practice, Barber Medical Legal Nurse Consulting, LLC.  Dr. Barber serves as a national educator and speaker who is actively involved in AWHONN, and serves on the Board of Directors for Community Maternity Services.  She has advanced certification in electronic fetal monitoring, and serves as a certified AWHONN fetal monitoring instructor while maintaining active clinical practice as a certified nurse midwife. Dr. Barber is committed to maternal fetal safety while empowering other clinicians through evidence-based education.  

Barber Medical Legal Nurse Consulting, LLC is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Florida State Board of Nursing, Provider #50-49196. Non-AWHONN course offerings are approved for contact hours applicable for RN, LPN, APRN licensure.
